Food For Thought

Have you been eating your greens lately? Well, Collin and I certainly have. You see, when you buy a box of pre-washed and trimmed spinach, there are usually only a few days of life left in those little guys before they expire. So, when you live with just one person, or on your own for some of you bachelors, you begin to realize that you need to have at least one to two meals daily that includes spinach so that you don't waste it! Other than the obvious salad option, (cuz who, especially boys, really want to eat salad for lunch and dinner on a daily basis??) I thought I'd help you out with some alternative options to get you through your batch before it's too late:

We just had the quesadilla option for dinner tonight....mmmmm..... ;)

Even MORE lessons of life...!

If you are a dreamer, which I hope that you are, you may run into certain feelings that aren't so profitable: impatience, hopelessness, comparison, jealousy, confusion, disbelief, to name a few. Lately, I have tasted a sampling of each of those. Now, we mustn't focus on the negative here, and wallow in self pity, but we must be honest to ourselves. As artists, we by our very nature, are sensitive and emotional. God created us this way! This is good, when channeled healthily. So, without going on and on, I thought I would just put that out there and try and encourage all you creative beings out there to have some hope, some patience, some self confidence, and ENJOY yourselves as you dream, live life, and create. In the words of Julia Child, "Bon Appetit!"

Learning the lessons of life!

You must all know the feeling of your first sleep in fresh, new bed sheets. Ah, yes, you do! Or at least you know the feeling of sleeping in crisp, hotel or resort sheets that just feel oh, so much better than your own. Well, Collin and I finally bought new sheets, duvet cover and pillowcases for ourselves. We've only had one set of everything from our Wedding a year and a half ago, and you also know that when you are registering for things as pre-wedded people, you tend to think, "Oh, we'll only need one set of everything!" Now that it's been almost two years, we've learned that it was time to have a second set.
